Zimbabwe was the "bread basket" of South Africa ... neighbouring countries relying on Zimbabwe to top up their staple food requirements. Experienced farmers have, since 2000, been prevented from doing what they do best - farming to feed Southern Africa. Zimbabwe is suffering from a MAN MADE FAMINE ... death comes to young and old with daily death rates rising at an alarming rate ... for many one meal a day would be a luxury ... many are surviving on wild berries, roots and leaves, and we have heard recently even caterpillars.
The war in Zimbabwe has been against democracy ... revenge ... like Stalin in the 1930's ... engineering rural famine ... to exterminate and readicate all opposition to the present Government.
These commercial farms provided homes, schools and needs for thousands and thousands of farm workers who have been forced out of their homes and jobs. For many there is no way out except death and starvation, but we can help these people in different ways ....
