It lies off the south coast of Asia, lying between Taiwan in the north and Borneo in the south, the Western Pacific Ocean and the China Sea border, consisting of approximately 7,101 islands. The country has over a hundred ethnic groups and a mixture of foreign influences which have moulded a unique Filipino culture.

On our mission to the Mountain Provinces in Apayao, we had to stop overnight in Manila, before boarding a plane to Tuguegarao, Cagayan.
