Jesus said " Come unto me all you that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11 v 28-30
" At their wits end, they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses." Psalm 107 v 27-31
....providing help and support to those suffering human rights abuses, those who have gone through traumatic experiences, including refugees. They are often people who have come to the end of the road and don't know where else to turn. They are desperate for help and thankfully there are those who are willing to help and support then when they come to wits end corner.
...there are many who are left bereft with absolutely nothing with which to support themselves. In these circumstances we have been able to help ... providing food, clothes and medicines. There are so many who find it difficult to survive ... there is always an opportunity to show the Love of Christ in these situations.
... by providing fellowship within the church, giving them a warm welcome to our extended family from every tribe and nation. People often find themselves in a depressed, distressed and often suicidal state ... some of them have been through horrendous experiences, having undergone torture and rapes, and being eye witnesses to terrible atrocities perpetrated upon their own family members. They are accepted and supported within the the church family.
According to Luke 10 verse 30; the good Samaritan did not pass by on the other side of the road ... he did not ask the wounded man what tribe or religion he came from but gently picked him up and took him to a place of shelter and took care of him.
Reaching out to those who are searching for ... the Way, the Truth and the Life ...
There are different ways in which we have opportunity to relate to others. As we go about our daily lives we meet people with many needs; emotional, physical and spiritual. Many are so confused as they look upon the things that are coming upon the world and need answers as to what is happening in the world. The Bible is the only book in the world which has the answer to every situation having already foretold the future in detail in prophecy.
