Our Thoughts

We would appreciate your prayer support on a daily basis and any financial donations, regardless of how small it may be for the very survival of the "forgotten ones"

The work of the charity started after a mission to The The Philippines, and then a door was opened to help in Zimbabwe. After the floods came in 2000, we received a cry for help. Since then and especially with the escalating economic situation in the country, we have continued to send financial aid from donations and from our own personal resources. We have been able to help with money for food, sending medicines and helping with school fees. By keeping children in school they are better able to survive. This provides them with a daily meal and vital education helping them in the future to be self-sufficient. We have been helping them in sending them resources which they are not able to obtain as their shops are empty.

It was decided to set up the charity because we began to receive requests from people contacting us from several countries, including the UK, pleading for our help. Our work has been extended to Uganda, Zambia, Congo, Malawi, Nigeria and Cameroon.

...by your support we can come to the aid of so many more who are crying out...

Those we help are "the forgotten ones" who have been left desolate without any aid whatsoever, those missed by the International Aid Organisations. These are the people whom this charity has been set up to reach out to and help.

Many of those we are helping are children, who have either contacted Aids through no fault of their own and, or are left orphaned because their parents have died. They are often left in the care of relatives who are unable to support them financially. It has been a joy to see the difference we have made in their lives.

As the need for financial help increased, we could no longer supply the needs of all the requests. Heartbreaking as it is, knowing that some would live and some would die. The decision was made to set up Lazarus Ministries to enlarge our tents.

The name came from the Scripture in Luke 16 verse 19.

"There was a certain rich man who was dressed in the most expensive clothing and lived in magnificent luxury every day. At his gate a beggar named Lazarus who was covered with sores and longing to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table"

.......let us not be like the rich man denying the Lazarus's of this world.......Lazarus is waiting for our crumbs.......

We would like to be able to extend the work further, to be able to send clothes and other commodities on a larger scale. The charity was set up to appeal to many for help that each one may assist us in this wonderful work.
